Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection relating to “Prohibition on Creditors and Consumer Reporting Agencies Concerning Medical Information (Regulation V)”.
Mr. Rounds (for himself, Mr. Scott of South Carolina, Mr. Hagerty, Mr. Crapo, and Ms. Lummis) introduced the following joint resolution; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs
Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection relating to “Prohibition on Creditors and Consumer Reporting Agencies Concerning Medical Information (Regulation V)”.
Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That Congress disapproves the rule submitted by the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection relating to “Prohibition on Creditors and Consumer Reporting Agencies Concerning Medical Information (Regulation V)” (90 Fed. Reg. 3276 (January 14, 2025)), and such rule shall have no force or effect.
