 Mr. Markey (for himself, Mr. Sanders, and Mr. Merkley) introduced the 
 following joint resolution; which was read twice and referred to the 
                     Committee on Foreign Relations

                            JOINT RESOLUTION


 
    Providing for congressional disapproval of the proposed foreign 
  military sale to the Government of Saudi Arabia of certain defense 
                         articles and services.

    Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United 
States of America in Congress assembled, That the following proposed 
foreign military sale to the Government of Saudi Arabia is prohibited:
            (1) The sale of the following defense articles and services 
        described in Transmittal No. 26-35, which was submitted to 
        Congress pursuant to section 36(b)(1) of the Arms Export 
        Control Act (22 U.S.C. 2776(b)(1)) and communication of which 
        was published in the Congressional Record on September 15, 2026 
        (Executive Communication 4683): five thousand four (5,004) KMU-
        572 Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) guidance kits; five 
        thousand (5,000) KMU-556 JDAM guidance kits; five thousand four 
        (5,004) BLU-111 500-lb general purpose bombs; and five thousand 
        (5,000) BLU-117 2,000-lb general purpose bombs. The following 
        non-major defense equipment will also be included: FMU-139 fuze 
        systems; DSU-38 and DSU-40 target detectors; containers and 
        support equipment; spare parts, consumables and accessories, 
        and repair and return support; U.S. Government and contractor 
        engineering, technical, and logistics support services; and 
        other related elements of logistics and program support.
