<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><congress>119th CONGRESS</congress><session>2d Session</session><legis-num>S. 5374</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20260807">August 7, 2026</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S323">Mr. Risch</sponsor> (for himself and <cosponsor name-id="S266">Mr. Crapo</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSEG00">Committee on Energy and Natural Resources</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To facilitate the conveyance of certain land in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, platted under section 2387 of the Revised Statutes, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body><section id="id351af03b1e454e968481c1d03de9817c" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Facilitation of conveyance of certain land in Bonners Ferry, Idaho</header><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id21a7d171cf8a499689b477a653a0318b"><enum>(a)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Disclaimer of interest</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">To facilitate the conveyance of the covered land described in subsection (b) that was platted under section 2387 of the Revised Statutes (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/43/718">43 U.S.C. 718</external-xref>) (repealed by section 703(a) of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976 (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/94/579">Public Law 94–579</external-xref>; 90 Stat. 2790)), not later than 90 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary of the Interior shall issue a recordable disclaimer of interest of the United States in and to the covered land.</text></subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id03ed7488b6e743afba2a6b337c138e12"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Description of covered land</header><text>The covered land referred to in subsection (a) is the approximately 15.12 acres of land in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, depicted as <quote>Eaton</quote> on the map entitled <quote>Eaton</quote> and dated December 22, 1893, excluding the portion of the land within the boundary of the Kootenai Indian Reservation.</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
