<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><congress>119th CONGRESS</congress><session>2d Session</session><legis-num>S. 4705</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20260608">June 8, 2026</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S402">Ms. Rosen</sponsor> introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSJU00">Committee on the Judiciary</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To prohibit Federal funds from being used for certain legal financial settlements, to provide funding for the supplemental nutrition assistance program, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body><section id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Redirecting Trump Slush Funds to Lower Food Costs Act of 2026</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="id8667f832d56c4d79a0d42bc1ffa368dd"><enum>2.</enum><header>Prohibition on Federal funds being used for certain legal financial settlements; SNAP funding</header><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id852c213519a94ab39c5fea725d705a1f"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text>No Federal funds, including amounts appropriated under section 1304 of title 31, United States Code (commonly known as the <quote>Judgment Fund</quote>), may be used by any Federal agency—</text><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ide1c2371cadcd413c9ec16809a1d24e6d"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">for any legal financial settlement to the President or for the personal or political benefit of the President; or</text></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id650c973da29b4b169163e72c860c01ea"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">to establish or maintain any commission, fund (including the <quote>Anti-Weaponization Fund</quote> announced by the Attorney General on May 18, 2026), or mechanism utilized to provide the compensation described in paragraph (1).</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="iddf617b99ed644df6825a3fbe10b02cd2"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Appropriation</header><text>Out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, there is appropriated to the Secretary of Agriculture $1,776,000,000 to address the high cost of groceries by funding the supplemental nutrition assistance program established under the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/7/2011">7 U.S.C. 2011 et seq.</external-xref>).</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
