Short title

This Act may be cited as the Parkinson’s Protection for Firefighters Act.

Inclusion of Parkinson’s disease in list of illnesses and diseases deemed to be proximately caused by employment in fire protection activities

Section 8143b(b) of title 5, United States Code, is amended—(1)in the subsection heading, by striking diseased and inserting diseases;(2)in paragraph (1), by striking activedate and inserting active date; and(3)in paragraph (2)—(A)by redesignating subparagraphs (L) through (P) as subparagraphs (M) through (Q), respectively; and(B)by inserting after subparagraph (K) the following:(L)Parkinson’s disease..
