<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><congress>119th CONGRESS</congress><session>2d Session</session><legis-num>S. 4036</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20260310">March 10, 2026</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S372">Mrs. Capito</sponsor> (for herself, <cosponsor name-id="S311">Ms. Klobuchar</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S347">Mr. Moran</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S378">Mr. Lankford</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S383">Mr. Sullivan</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S426">Mr. Kim</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S370">Mr. Booker</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="S275">Ms. Cantwell</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSHR00">Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To amend the Public Health Service Act to expand the Project ECHO Grant Program, to allow for such program to disseminate knowledge and build capacity to address Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body display-enacting-clause="yes-display-enacting-clause"><section section-type="section-one" id="S1"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Accelerating Access to Dementia and Alzheimer’s Provider Training Act</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>AADAPT Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id39b018d642db4799a74831210286b6cc"><enum>2.</enum><header>Expanding capacity for health outcomes</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 330N of the Public Health Service Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/254c-20">42 U.S.C. 254c–20</external-xref>) is amended—</text><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id3a54958105ea4aa39d95d68f9d1ea627"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subsection (a)(1), by striking <quote>entities</quote> and inserting <quote>entities, including a public or nonprofit private entity,</quote>; and</text></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id6b841743068b479390d727ef081e2531"> <enum>(2)</enum> <text>in subsection (b), by inserting <quote>dementia care,</quote> after <quote>palliative care,</quote>.</text>
