<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><congress>119th CONGRESS</congress><session>2d Session</session><legis-num>S. 3933</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20260226">February 26, 2026</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S426">Mr. Kim</sponsor> introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSGA00">Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To prohibit funds from the One Big Beautiful Bill Act from being used to recruit or hire new immigration enforcement agents or officers at ICE or CBP.</official-title></form><legis-body><section id="id3cb568f087e5488683f7a655265033fe" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>ICE Funding Accountability Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section section-type="subsequent-section" commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id68b2ffbfc89448d3a1ee5c79ff62ec45"><enum>2.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Spending limitation</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Notwithstanding any other provision of law, amounts appropriated or otherwise made available under <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/119/21">Public Law 119–21</external-xref> may not be expended—</text><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="iddbfdaad2bff3494ca5fd2747f0db80ea"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">to pay the salaries of agents or officers of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement or U.S. Customs and Border Protection who were hired on or after the date of the enactment of this Act; or</text></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id31c61cad303844778ce8a33b34873e8a"><enum>(2)</enum><text>to recruit, advertise for hiring, or pay retention or sign on bonuses to such agents or officers.</text></paragraph></section></legis-body></bill>
