<enactingFormula style="-uslm-lc:I650120"><i>  Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa­tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,</i></enactingFormula>
<section id="d134e62" identifier="/us/bill/119/s/284/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I650146"><num class="bold" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><heading>SHORT TITLE.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I650120">  This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle role="act">Congressional Award Program Reauthorization Act</shortTitle>”.</content></section>
<section id="d134e72" identifier="/us/bill/119/s/284/s2" style="-uslm-lc:I650141"><num class="fontsize12" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading>TERMINATION.</heading><subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y2ea6270d-dafc-11f0-aa07-c75789695a3a" identifier="/us/bill/119/s/284/s2/a" role="instruction" style="-uslm-lc:I650120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="a">(a) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">In General</inline>.—</heading><content>Section 108 of the Congressional Award Act (<ref href="/us/usc/t2/s808">2 U.S.C. 808</ref>) <amendingAction type="amend">is amended</amendingAction> by <amendingAction type="delete">striking</amendingAction> “<quotedText>October 1, 2023</quotedText>” and <amendingAction type="insert">inserting</amendingAction> “<quotedText>October 1, 2028</quotedText>”.</content></subsection>
<subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y2ea6270e-dafc-11f0-aa07-c75789695a3a" identifier="/us/bill/119/s/284/s2/b" style="-uslm-lc:I650120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="b">(b) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Retroactive Effective Date</inline>.—</heading><content>The amendment made by subsection (a) shall take effect as if enacted on October 1, 2023.</content></subsection>

<section id="d134e108" identifier="/us/bill/119/s/284/s3" role="instruction" style="-uslm-lc:I650141"><num class="fontsize12" value="3">SEC. 3. </num><heading>OTHER AMENDMENTS.</heading><chapeau class="indentUp0 firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="x2ea6752f-dafc-11f0-aa07-c75789695a3a" style="-uslm-lc:I650120">  Section 102 of the Congressional Award Act (<ref href="/us/usc/t2/s802">2 U.S.C. 802</ref>) <amendingAction type="amend">is amended</amendingAction>—</chapeau><paragraph class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y2ea67530-dafc-11f0-aa07-c75789695a3a" identifier="/us/bill/119/s/284/s3/1" style="-uslm-lc:I650122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><content>in subsection (a), by <amendingAction type="delete">striking</amendingAction> “<quotedText>Each medal shall consist of gold-plate over bronze, rhodium over bronze, or bronze and shall be struck in accordance with subsection (f).</quotedText>”; and</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y2ea67531-dafc-11f0-aa07-c75789695a3a" identifier="/us/bill/119/s/284/s3/2" style="-uslm-lc:I650122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><content>in subsection (f)(1), in the second sentence, by <amendingAction type="delete">striking</amendingAction> “<quotedText>Subject to subsection (a), the</quotedText>” and <amendingAction type="insert">inserting</amendingAction> “<quotedText>The</quotedText>”.</content></paragraph>
