Ms. Malliotakis submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee on Armed Services


RESOLUTION

Supporting the designation of “Operation Enduring Freedom Day” to honor the service, sacrifice, and courage of the men and women who served in Operation Enduring Freedom, their families, and those who lost their lives or were wounded in the conflict.

Resolved, That the House of Representatives—

(1) supports the designation of “Operation Enduring Freedom Day” to honor the service, sacrifice, and courage of the men and women who served in Operation Enduring Freedom, their families, and those who lost their lives or were wounded in the conflict;

(2) urges the American people to observe Operation Enduring Freedom Day with appropriate ceremonies, programs, and activities to recognize the contributions and sacrifices of veterans, members of the Armed Forces, and their families; and

(3) recognizes the importance of preserving the memory of Operation Enduring Freedom and expressing gratitude to those who served, ensuring their sacrifices are honored in perpetuity.
