IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

January 23, 2025

Mr. Balderson (for himself, Mr. Pfluger, Ms. Tenney, and Mr. Meuser) submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce, and in addition to the Committee on Natural Resources, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned

RESOLUTION

Recognizing the benefits of natural gas to the United States economy and environment, and recognizing natural gas as an affordable and “green” energy.

Resolved, That the House of Representatives—

(1) recognizes natural gas produced in the United States as an affordable and “green” energy;

(2) recognizes that the United States should be committed to an “all of the above” approach to meet United States energy needs, and that natural gas is necessary for the United States to be energy dominant; and

(3) supports efforts of the Trump administration, including the Department of Energy and the Department of the Interior, to increase domestic production of natural gas and natural gas infrastructure, identify and remove barriers to the production of natural gas, and expedite the approval of new liquified natural gas export facilities in the United States.
