Ms. Barragán (for herself, Mr. Costa, Ms. Velázquez, Mr. Frost, Mrs. Grijalva, Mr. Vasquez, Mr. Vargas, Mr. Garcia of California, Ms. Escobar, Mr. Cuellar, Ms. Ocasio-Cortez, Mr. Ruiz, and Ms. Salinas) submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee on Natural Resources


RESOLUTION

Recognizing the importance of Latino community leadership and engagement in outdoor recreation and conservation activities that protect United States natural resources, and expressing support for the designation of September 12 through September 20, 2026, as “Latino Conservation Week”.

Resolved, That the House of Representatives—

(1) recognizes the Latino community’s longstanding commitment to and leadership in conservation and environmental stewardship;

(2) affirms that the future of public lands and waters, environmental health, and climate resilience is strengthened by the inclusion, vision, and agency of Latino youth, families, and community leaders; and

(3) supports the designation of “Latino Conservation Week”.
