<whereas commented="no"><text>Whereas warehouse workers are important in supporting and developing the United States economy;</text></whereas> <whereas commented="no"><text>Whereas, according to Bureau of Labor Statistics data, the total number of warehousing and storage workers employed is over 1,800,000;</text></whereas> 
<whereas><text>Whereas tariffs and supply chain disruptions have impacted the logistics industry;</text></whereas> <whereas><text>Whereas warehouse workers work around the clock, with little rest;</text></whereas> 
<whereas><text>Whereas warehouse workers in the summer months work in dangerously hot conditions, and warehouses can surpass 90 degrees Fahrenheit;</text></whereas> <whereas><text>Whereas warehouses in the Inland Empire manage distribution for most goods traveling through the Los Angeles and Long Beach ports, which receive 40 percent of the Nation’s imports; and</text></whereas> 
<whereas><text>Whereas warehouse workers help individuals and communities through—</text> <paragraph id="H397BD35381FE471E90CDB9EFC02988F0"><enum>(1)</enum><text>assisting in the supply chain;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HA7CADCD522A94CF2A942A8DF3FD0A4E6"><enum>(2)</enum><text>helping to transport goods; and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HB3B818BB35FD4B5E8C35AC36621C059C"> <enum>(3)</enum> <text>packing, processing, and moving inventory: Now, therefore, be it</text>
            </paragraph></whereas></preamble><resolution-body style="traditional" id="HB7080B1B02224051B903356C0F33B9F5"> 
<section display-inline="yes-display-inline" section-type="undesignated-section" id="HBEBDE731CDB84262A93D6D9E3FCC30B2"><text>That the House of Representatives—</text> <paragraph id="H0C49723C480F431E8B06DD14F1A237F4"><enum>(1)</enum><text>supports the goals of <quote>Warehouse Worker Recognition Week</quote>;</text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="H3C165480117A4FBBBF33AAC0179128C5"><enum>(2)</enum><text>encourages increased awareness of the contributions of warehouse workers;</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HC74800A753A543F7B54D7D25877E85F8"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">acknowledges that warehouse workers are front line workers; and</text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="H334654DBDAA647FB8C0965D43A38EF51"><enum>(4)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">recommits to work together to reduce injuries and support the needs of these front line workers.</text></paragraph></section> </resolution-body></resolution>
