<whereas><text>Whereas, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention 70,000,000 American adults have a disability that impacts major life activities;</text></whereas> <whereas><text>Whereas the United States Census Bureau reports that over 3,000,000 children have disabilities;</text></whereas> 
<whereas><text>Whereas the Americans with Disabilities Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/12101">42 U.S.C. 12101 et seq.</external-xref>) was signed into law on July 26, 1990;</text></whereas> <whereas><text>Whereas people with a disability remain at an increased risk of experiencing discrimination, isolation, and inequities;</text></whereas> 
<whereas><text>Whereas people with disabilities are vital, and make meaningful contributions in the American arts, science, healthcare, technology, sports, education, law, and many more sectors; and</text></whereas> <whereas><text>Whereas <quote>Disability Pride Month</quote> is celebrated in July by Americans across the country: Now, therefore, be it</text> 
<paragraph id="H942396EB51A14F738EB55D11D8A34EAF"><enum>(1)</enum><text>expresses the support for July to be designated as <quote>Disability Pride Month</quote>; and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HB09DB09B1E2F4FFCA734EB4DA66F924A"><enum>(2)</enum><text>calls on the people of the United States, interest groups, and affected people to—</text> 
<subparagraph id="H76BE7BFAA42B476DB6A7F3C45ECB9F93"><enum>(A)</enum><text>to observe Disability Pride Month with appropriate celebrations and activities; and</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="H1AF8439C02F14DA4977CBAB06E30BE8F"><enum>(B)</enum><text>take an active role in the prevention of exclusion of and discrimination against people with disabilities.</text></subparagraph></paragraph></whereas></preamble><resolution-body style="traditional" id="H2F0E61266EBE4903A74A2D9697AC4E8F"> 
<section display-inline="yes-display-inline" section-type="undesignated-section" id="H1D0BD93C20DE428092E2E699BAE6BC97"><text>That the House of Representatives—</text> <paragraph id="HF6F78C6472684EE7BD41656C314E5083"><enum>(1)</enum><text>expresses support for <quote>Disability Pride Month</quote>; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HAD167A87E4AF44E690768E1A910BC0ED"><enum>(2)</enum><text>calls on the people of the United States, interest groups, and affected people to—</text> <subparagraph id="H9FEFA97FB8E64C13BC7B12845FC25601"><enum>(A)</enum><text>to observe Disability Pride Month with appropriate celebrations and activities; and</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="HC8214F23FDF74C608712F66315BA0D4F"><enum>(B)</enum><text>take an active role in the prevention of exclusion of and discrimination against people with disabilities.</text></subparagraph></paragraph></section> </resolution-body></resolution>
