 <text>Whereas, for more than 100 years, American INDYCAR racing has set the pace for motor sports;</text>
    </whereas>
<whereas>
 <text>Whereas, with speeds exceeding 200 miles per hour, INDYCAR drivers and cars inspire awe and respect in all who watch this quintessentially American sport;</text>
    </whereas>
<whereas><text>Whereas INDYCAR racing has produced legendary figures, including A.J. Foyt and Mario Andretti, whose achievements have become an enduring part of American sporting history;</text></whereas> <whereas><text>Whereas INDYCAR racing continues to captivate fans every Memorial Day weekend as people from across the globe travel to attend the Indianapolis 500, the largest single day sporting event in the world;</text></whereas>
<whereas><text>Whereas INDYCAR racing is a source of pride and entertainment for the Nation;</text></whereas> <whereas><text>Whereas the Freedom 250 Grand Prix is scheduled to take place in the District of Columbia from August 21 through August 23;</text></whereas>
<whereas><text>Whereas the Freedom 250 Grand Prix will be the first motor race ever held in the Nation’s capital near the National Mall;</text></whereas> <whereas><text>Whereas the race will showcase the majesty of the District of Columbia as drivers navigate a course around iconic national monuments; and</text></whereas>
<whereas><text>Whereas the Freedom 250 Grand Prix is intended to celebrate America’s 250th birthday and highlight American innovation, excellence, and sporting tradition: Now, therefore, be it</text></whereas></preamble><resolution-body style="traditional" id="H5E824817848A4F07B56A863E660BC2FD"> <section display-inline="yes-display-inline" section-type="undesignated-section" id="HEFAE901CD9254A67BA61AE42AC99D303"><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">That the House of Representatives supports the Freedom 250 Grand Prix INDYCAR race and recognizes the historic significance of American INDYCAR racing and its contribution to American culture, heritage, and national pride.</text></section>
