Mr. Sessions (for himself and Mr. Suozzi) submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary


RESOLUTION

Expressing support of the goal of celebrating a “National Day of Honor and Respect” in conjunction with “Constitution Day and Citizenship Day”.

Resolved, That the House of Representatives—

(1) supports the goal of celebrating a “National Day of Honor and Respect” in conjunction with “Constitution Day and Citizenship Day”;

(2) honors the contributions of immigrants and Americans of diverse backgrounds;

(3) encourages positive interactions among citizens united in their love of country and their shared identity as Americans;

(4) remains committed to reducing acts of hate, discrimination, racism, and xenophobia; and

(5) affirms the importance of promoting civic education and public service in communities throughout the Nation.
