                               RESOLUTION

 Honoring President Donald J. Trump for securing a historic strategic
agreement establishing permanent United States sovereignty and control
over critical military installations in Greenland, strengthening Arctic
     security, and countering malign Russian and Chinese influence.

Whereas the Arctic region has emerged as a central theater of great power
        competition, with Russia and the People's Republic of China seeking to
        expand their military, economic, and strategic footprint in the High
        North;
Whereas Greenland occupies one of the most strategically significant geographic
        positions in the world, serving as a gateway between North America and
        Europe and a critical node for early-warning systems, missile defense,
        and Arctic power projection;
Whereas previous administrations failed to adequately address the growing
        security risks posed by foreign adversaries operating in and around
        Greenland, leaving the United States and its allies vulnerable to
        emerging threats in the Arctic domain;
Whereas President Donald J. Trump demonstrated decisive leadership by pursuing a
        bold diplomatic strategy to secure permanent United States sovereignty
        and control over key military bases and defense installations in
        Greenland, ensuring uninterrupted American operational authority and
        readiness in the region;
Whereas, under the leadership of President Trump, the United States reached a
        long-term strategic framework with Denmark, Greenland, and North
        Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) allies that respects existing
        political arrangements while guaranteeing exclusive United States
        military control over critical installations necessary for national and
        allied defense;
Whereas this historic agreement enhances the ability of the United States to
        deploy advanced missile defense systems, safeguard Arctic sealanes, and
        prevent Russia and China from gaining any economic or military foothold
        in Greenland;
Whereas the agreement strengthens NATO's collective security posture, reinforces
        transatlantic unity, and ensures that the Arctic remains secure, stable,
        and free from authoritarian influence;
Whereas President Trump's leadership avoided armed conflict, preserved alliance
        cohesion, and delivered lasting security gains through strength-based
        diplomacy rather than concession or delay; and
Whereas this achievement represents one of the most significant advancements in
        United States Arctic and hemispheric defense policy in modern history:
        Now, therefore, be it
    Resolved, That the House of Representatives--
            (1) honors President Donald J. Trump for his historic
        leadership in securing permanent United States sovereignty and
        control over critical military bases and defense installations
        in Greenland;
            (2) recognizes the strategic importance of Greenland to the
        national security of the United States and its allies;
            (3) affirms the necessity of maintaining robust American
        military presence and operational authority in the Arctic to
        deter aggression by foreign adversaries; and
            (4) commends the use of strength, diplomacy, and resolve in
        advancing United States security interests without the use of
        force.
                                 <all>
