<section id="H4826C92A145D4AADB5F65E90147D1669" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>LEARN AI Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="H6423000952E441E69664E5AD7361011C"><enum>2.</enum><header>Promotion of artificial intelligence in apprenticeship programs</header> <subsection id="H45B47D7F676346E894A3CC8E0E7A3F50" commented="no"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Sense of Congress</header><text>It is the sense of Congress that it should be the policy of the United States to promote workforce readiness for the adoption and use of artificial intelligence technologies through registered apprenticeship programs.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H6DAD4AF5032E43969BC73AE3FA5E02C1"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Department of Labor activities</header><text>The Secretary of Labor may—</text> <paragraph id="H0FECE9F59A1A41F28DEDE13FA3CA9355"><enum>(1)</enum><text>encourage the inclusion of instruction relating to artificial intelligence technologies, tools, and applications in registered apprenticeship programs;</text> </paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HC442FF3A067D432EA228B9AAC3EC88FA"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">develop and disseminate best practices for the responsible use of artificial intelligence in registered apprenticeship programs;</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H16E43E66AF07433D97006763FD0F293B"><enum>(3)</enum><text>provide technical assistance to employers, labor organizations, educational institutions, and apprenticeship sponsors seeking to incorporate artificial intelligence-related competencies into registered apprenticeship programs; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H3C6FFB5BD27048BD932CCCE8CB2DAD09"><enum>(4)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">support all efforts related to registered apprenticeship programs carried out by the Department of Labor to prepare workers to adapt to technological changes associated with the use of artificial intelligence.</text></paragraph></subsection> <subsection id="HE439938133544426831C21ECE15A8448"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Construction</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Nothing in this section shall be construed to require any registered apprenticeship program to adopt artificial intelligence-related instruction or to alter existing program standards established under the Act of August 16, 1937 (commonly known as the <quote>National Apprenticeship Act</quote>; 50 Stat. 664, chapter 663; <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/29/50">29 U.S.C. 50 et seq.</external-xref>).</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="HB48AB8353D844E2DB5847CE19A054876"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Registered apprenticeship program defined</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The term <term>registered apprenticeship program</term> means an apprenticeship program registered under the Act of August 16, 1937 (commonly known as the <quote>National Apprenticeship Act</quote>; 50 Stat. 664, chapter 663; <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/29/50">29 U.S.C. 50 et seq.</external-xref>).</text></subsection></section> </legis-body></bill>
