<section id="HC1DC4CA453D846E0A23825DFCBA17D29" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header>
 <text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Maternal Access to Treatment Act of 2026</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>MAT Act of 2026</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="H2C5D20DB1503415BBB542297420009B9"><enum>2.</enum><header>Medication assisted treatment</header> 
<subsection id="HE907D84FF8A6422F9690622534CF4028"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Requirement</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Director of the Bureau of Prisons shall provide medication assisted treatment (commonly known as <quote>MAT</quote>) to each pregnant woman in the custody of the Bureau of Prisons addicted to opioids.</text></subsection> <subsection id="HA13DACBBE8044860BF81565DBCF32901"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Exception</header><text>A pregnant woman who is mentally competent may deny the provision of medication assisted treatment under subsection (a).</text> </subsection></section>
