Lavelle, and for other purposes.

Short title

This Act may be cited as the General John D. Lavelle Act.

Restoration of retired rank of General John D. Lavelle

Not later than December 31, 2026, the Secretary of Defense shall issue a recommendation to the President and the Senate regarding the restoration of the retired rank of General John D. Lavelle based on recently declassified records and the most recent recommendation of the Air Force Board for Correction of Military Records.
