<section id="H5B63B064B17F442B8760CCDBA1A247F7" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header>
 <text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Homeownership Eligibility Reform Act</short-title></quote>.</text> </section> 
<section id="HB9A182E6AB2C4E93AD5BBBAAD0202854" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Eligibility of mortgagors for FHA mortgage insurance</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 203(b)(8) of the National Housing Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/12/1709">12 U.S.C. 1709(b)(8)</external-xref>) is amended to read as follows:</text> <quoted-block style="OLC" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H3B7531420D2447518BD7A70DA8111FF4"> <paragraph id="HDBA249457E2F40A69DDA87108346B28A"><enum>(8)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Is executed by a mortgagor who is a citizen of the United States.</text> </paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section> 
<section id="HDE6888409FDB4680B62074619ACAA73B"><enum>3.</enum><header>Eligibility of mortgagors with respect to purchase and securitization by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac</header> 
<subsection id="H2EB34AA22707483F854FCD52804C77E3"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Requirement for Fannie Mae</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 302 of the Federal National Mortgage Association Charter Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/12/1717">12 U.S.C. 1717</external-xref>) is amended in subsection (b)(2), by inserting after the second sentence the following: <quote>No such purchase of a conventional mortgage secured by a property comprising one- to four-family dwelling unit shall be made if the mortgagor is not a citizen of the United States.</quote>.</text></subsection> <subsection id="HD5E30C60C87F469F8C41B1C9A28D82C8"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Requirement for Freddie Mac</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 305 of the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/12/1454">12 U.S.C. 1454</external-xref>) is amended in subsection (a)(2) by inserting after the first sentence the following: <quote>No such purchase of a conventional mortgage secured by a property comprising one- to four-family dwelling unit shall be made if the mortgagor is not a citizen of the United States.</quote>.</text></subsection></section>
