<section id="H1AF5E8D7B1FC416DB2D6EFA6339E6B40" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>SAFE Training for OB-GYNs Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="H4A0B667498DE42359700950FB6C95E86"><enum>2.</enum><header>Program for expanding capacity at approved graduate medical residency training programs providing training concerning reproductive health care</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Part D of title VII of the Public Health Service Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/294">42 U.S.C. 294 et seq.</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following:</text> <quoted-block style="OLC" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H4B773F4A8EE940FAA565A1FF09243A9B"> <section id="HF31B223B8AE844CC95618D684392A7B1"><enum>760A.</enum><header>Program for expanding capacity at approved graduate medical residency training programs providing training concerning reproductive health care</header> <subsection id="HC5543726D1A34EB6BAE1575D639227E4"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary, acting through the Administrator of the Health Resources and Services Administration, shall award grants, contracts, or cooperative agreements to entities operating an approved graduate medical residency training program that provides training in the provision of sexual and reproductive health care (including the provision of abortion care) for health care professionals who, as a result of a covered State abortion law, must seek such training in a different State.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="HF5ACECCBBBB145D785595F0AE8D553A8"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Use of funds</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">An entity receiving a grant under this section shall use the grant to—</text> <paragraph id="H74484C8BDE48430A8874102E8087EFE0"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">establish, expand, or support an approved graduate medical residency training program for training in sexual and reproductive health care (including the provision of abortion care) specifically for health care professionals who, as a result of a covered State abortion law, must seek such training in a different State; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H96F99A6ED3204FD8BFAB0061AFCFEFC7"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">provide reimbursement for travel and related expenses of such health care professionals.</text></paragraph></subsection> <subsection id="H62BD6AAEBFA749E38AE26AC91D55083B"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Definitions</header><text>In this section:</text> 
<paragraph id="HB08CD181191348E4A11D97462DD338C4"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Approved graduate medical residency training program</header><text>The term <quote>approved graduate medical residency training program</quote> has the meaning given such term in section 340H(j).</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H2AD52B0D8B554BD5AE8DAF34A29D881F"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Covered State abortion law</header><text>The term <quote>covered State abortion law</quote> means a State law imposing a limitation or requirement on the provision of abortion care, which directly, or indirectly, restricts or limits—</text> 
<subparagraph id="HDA86E00E2B554799A3C3CE2A38D27416"><enum>(A)</enum><text>an individual’s ability to access abortion care in such State; or</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="H180ACCCAFCDC4FB1B21C0221CDBA853A"><enum>(B)</enum><text>a health care provider’s ability to provide abortion care in such State.</text></subparagraph></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="H2AA229D1286C479DB0C210A225A78BED"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Authorization of appropriations</header><text>There is authorized to be appropriated to carry out this section $10,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2027 through 2031.</text></subsection></section> <after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section> </legis-body></bill>
