<section id="H41AFAF9389E6438CB49677890B2791D8" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Stop Scamming Americans Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="s235"><enum>2.</enum><header>Foreign scam syndicates training</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 708 of the Foreign Service Act of 1980 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/22/4028">22 U.S.C. 4028</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following:</text>

<subsection id="f1"><enum>(f)</enum><header>Foreign scam syndicates training</header>
<paragraph id="f11"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text>The Secretary may establish training for chiefs of mission, deputy chiefs of mission, and Foreign Service officers who will be assigned to a country that, as determined by the Secretary, is home to significant online scam activity targeting Americans, on appropriate training on matters related to online scam activity.</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="f12"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Matters to be included</header><text>The training required under paragraph (1)—</text>
<subparagraph id="f2a"><enum>(A)</enum><text>should address—</text> <clause id="f2Aii"><enum>(i)</enum><text>transnational criminal organizations conducting the scams;</text></clause>
<clause id="H1725571CAA3D4098BB582265EE8C9F2E"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>online scam centers and human trafficking inside such centers; and</text></clause> <clause id="f2Aiii"><enum>(iii)</enum><text>foreign government complicity and corruption; and </text></clause></subparagraph>
<subparagraph id="f2B"><enum>(B)</enum><text>should identify diplomatic methods to identify, prevent, and respond to such activities.</text></subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section> </legis-body> </bill>
