<section id="H57B6194751854C868ED5A2AE072BEABA" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Hydropower Licensing Affordability Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="H5E6E6372835E400A9188F31737799B34" commented="no"><enum>2.</enum><header>Ensuring proper scope of Federal reservation license conditions</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 4(e) of the Federal Power Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/797">16 U.S.C. 797(e)</external-xref>) is amended, in the first sentence, by inserting <quote>to reasonably mitigate the direct adverse effect of the applicable project on such reservation, so as to provide</quote> after <quote>deem necessary</quote> in the first proviso.</text></section> 
<section id="H9A2BF96EC0F64603A31D14741F426BFB"><enum>3.</enum><header>Ensuring proper scope of prescribed fishways</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 18 of the Federal Power Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/811">16 U.S.C. 811</external-xref>) is amended, in the first sentence, by inserting <quote>to reasonably mitigate the direct adverse effect of the applicable project on the population of a species of fish in the applicable river system</quote> before the period at the end.</text> </section> </legis-body></bill>
