<section id="H366573BB4A4A4A37903D93696976ADDB" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header>
 <text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Juice Access Improvement Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section>
<section id="H9133BC2F0960403892CA52C172783CC4"><enum>2.</enum><header>Juice as default benefit under certain WIC food packages</header> 
<subsection id="H56B062435555476BA87AF2C9DA4C7886"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In carrying out the special supplemental nutrition program for women, infants, and children under section 17 of the Child Nutrition Act of 1966 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/1786">42 U.S.C. 1786</external-xref>), the Secretary shall, with respect to a covered Food Package, require State agencies to—</text> <paragraph id="H397A6447F7974D85A64442A967011193"><enum>(1)</enum><text>establish juice as the default benefit; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HC5F08E217AD34EDCB0D9118650DB0C49"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">authorize that a $3 cash-value voucher substitution for juice (to be adjusted annually for inflation consistent with the annual inflation adjustments made to cash-value voucher values for women and children) be available upon request by a participant in such program.</text> </paragraph></subsection> <subsection id="H532E4308AE044B1E8D0F6365572F2C34"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Revision of rules</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary shall issue or revise such rules as are necessary to carry out this section, including revision of paragraph (e)(10) of section 246.10 of title 7, Code of Federal Regulations and table 2 relating to such paragraph (as in effect on the date of the enactment of this section).</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="HAB35DA8D2AC347C9AB59BDD717AC9357"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Definitions</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In this section:</text> <paragraph id="H88F3A302616241CE8BC83FEC358A0E9E"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Cash-value voucher</header><text>The term <quote>cash-value voucher</quote> has the meaning given the term in section 246.2 of title 7, Code of Federal Regulations (as in effect on the date of the enactment of this section).</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H93E2E62CE0364670AE5FCFCAA9D69A33"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Covered Food Package</header><text>The term <quote>covered Food Package</quote> means the following food packages under section 246.10(e) of title 7, Code of Federal Regulations (as in effect on the date of the enactment of this section):</text> <subparagraph id="H467A8DBC328040D0933BB3DE80CA9B38"> <enum>(A)</enum> <text>Food Package IV—Children 1 through 4 years.</text>
          </subparagraph>

            <enum>(B)</enum>
 <text>Food Package V—Pregnant and partially (mostly) breastfeeding women.</text> </subparagraph> <subparagraph id="HFD8F9CD94D3D4318B2F353BDB00FB7D5"> <enum>(C)</enum> <text>Food Package VI—Postpartum women.</text>
          </subparagraph>

            <enum>(D)</enum>
 <text>Food Package VII—Fully breastfeeding.</text> </subparagraph></paragraph> <paragraph id="H52891EB0E7AF4472819C16894B74B6B6"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Juice</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The term <quote>juice</quote> means juice meeting the minimum requirements and specifications for supplemental foods under table 4 to paragraph (e)(12) of section 246.10 of title 7, Code of Federal Regulations (as in effect on the date of the enactment of this section).</text></paragraph>
