<section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H36977EE38A0E48438F8523D86F26594C" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Drain the Slush Fund Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H72453D9071504577A35254CD54724050"><enum>2.</enum><header>Judgments, awards, and compromise settlements</header> <subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H645A3E87C082487287D1E43D6361E12C"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text>Section 1304 of title 31, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following:</text> 
<quoted-block style="USC" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H27DF7A1FEBB04D0C8AFD31F4D0F412FA"> 
<subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H90AFEE9409184F6CA8C114E08E978A18"><enum>(e)</enum><text>No judgment, award, compromise settlement, interest, or costs shall be authorized for payments that arise out of a lawsuit or claim filed by the President or Vice President.</text></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subsection> <subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H0A17CCB1CB3540F2AC547793153C4C20"><enum>(b)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Applicability</header><text>This section, and the amendments made by this section, shall apply to any pending case or any cause of action arising on or after January 20, 2025.</text></subsection></section>
