To amend the Endangered Species Act of 1973 with respect to the listing of threatened and endangered species, and for other purposes.
Ms. Boebert (for herself, Mr. Crank, Mr. Evans of Colorado, Mr. Kennedy of Utah, Mr. Hurd of Colorado, and Mr. Downing) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Natural Resources
To amend the Endangered Species Act of 1973 with respect to the listing of threatened and endangered species, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
This Act may be cited as the “Local Data for Better Conservation Act”.
SEC. 2. Listing determinations.
Section 4 of the Endangered Species Act of 1973 (16 U.S.C. 1533) is amended by adding at the end the following:
“(j) State data.—In making a determination to list, or delist, a species as a threatened species or an endangered species under this section, the Secretary shall accept and integrate State-collected data.”.
