<section id="H0ED29F2A03F0493CB0F2A1E629D16A53" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Arlington National Cemetery Viewshed Protection Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="H467D8F9BBCBA4B9A83A0E81FF7EC12EF"><enum>2.</enum><header>Restriction on triumphal arches in the capital region</header> <subsection id="H099697AE172F43CB8F19933A77A26335"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Lady Bird Johnson Park, District of Columbia</header> <paragraph id="H625846E4665D48518FDD244A600114B3"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the establishment or construction of a triumphal arch within Lady Bird Johnson Park is prohibited, without regard to the source of funds for such establishment or construction.</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H64B771EACF52415CB0D58666A12A1D86"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Prohibition on funds</header><text>No Federal funds may be made available for the establishment or construction of a triumphal arch within Lady Bird Johnson Park.</text></paragraph> </subsection> <subsection id="H29C7886D5C5748A4BA4FA5B30DA55E4C"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Prohibition on certain monuments</header><text>No triumphal arch with a height in excess of 50 feet may be established or constructed on land administered by the National Capital Region Office of the National Park Service except by express authorization of Congress.</text> </subsection> 
<subsection id="H97E1B88C89A44EA48B1B52CA0F46639F"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Definitions</header><text>In this section:</text> <paragraph id="H1C729001A63F4C99B399EBA91D6CF3F8"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Lady Bird Johnson Park</header><text>The term <term>Lady Bird Johnson Park</term> means Lady Bird Johnson Park, formerly known as Columbia Island, in the District of Columbia.</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H2C541C8EF59A4FC09FAEAA4CC1A6DAFC"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Triumphal arch</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The term <term>triumphal arch</term> means a monumental structure consisting of at least one freestanding archway, or a substantially similar structure.</text></paragraph></subsection> </section> </legis-body></bill>
