Ms. Stansbury (for herself and Mr. Joyce of Pennsylvania) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce, and in addition to the Committee on Ways and Means, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned


A BILL

To amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to extend the Quality Payment Program-Small Practice, Underserved, and Rural Support program.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. Short title.

This Act may be cited as the “Small Practice, Underserved, and Rural Support Program Extension Act of 2026” or the “SURS Extension Act”.

SEC. 2. Extension of Quality Payment Program-Small Practice, Underserved, and Rural Support program.

The first sentence of section 1848(q)(11)(B) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395w–4(q)(11)(B)) is amended by inserting “and for each of fiscal years 2026 through 2031” before the period.
