<section id="HF592CD6A6A904242AC0C524BC8A7D7C7" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header>
 <text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>No Presidential Self-Serving Lawsuits Act of 2026</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="HA5BD30A48F144B77A513304093E8A397"><enum>2.</enum><header>Prohibition on civil suit against United States by President</header> 
<subsection id="HC1B791797D804B01A9ECAE9A0A360CAB"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Prohibition</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A President may not file a civil action against the United States.</text></subsection> <subsection id="H10CB1A15E1F94A8782BF8CE3C7117566"> <enum>(b)</enum> <header>Settlement agreement</header> <text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The settlement agreement in Trump v. Internal Revenue Service, No. 1:26-cv-20609 (S.D. Fla.) is void.</text>
      </subsection></section> 
<section id="HC42B659B1A74442C8A1FADA65EF7C397"><enum>3.</enum><header>Limitations on uses of Federal funds</header> 
<subsection id="HD77BA079D0FB4E408F977808AAB00C9B">
        <enum>(a)</enum>
        <header>Prohibition on establishment of a compensation fund</header>
 <text>No compensation fund may be established to settle a civil action brought against the United States by a President or former President and no Federal funds may be used with respect to the settlement agreement in Trump v. Internal Revenue Service, No. 1:26-cv-20609 (S.D. Fla.).</text>
      </subsection> 
<subsection id="H85BC3D709E2A4A59ABF9BD0D0379663A"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Recovery of funds</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary of the Treasury may take such actions as may be necessary to recover any Federal funds used in violation of subsection (a).</text> </subsection></section> </legis-body></bill>
