1.

Short title

This Act may be cited as the Veterinary Education Equity Act.

Veterinary services grant program

Section 1415B of the National Agricultural Research, Extension, and Teaching Policy Act of 1977 (7 U.S.C. 3151b) is amended— (1)in subsection (a)(1)— (A) in subparagraph (F), by striking or at the end; (B)in subparagraph (G), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; or; and (C)by adding at the end the following: (H) 1890 Institutions, as defined in section 2 of the Agricultural Research, Extension, and Education Reform Act of 1998 (7 U.S.C. 7601). ; and (2)in subsection (c), by adding at the end the following: (5)

Priorities

In making grants under the program under subsection (b), the Secretary shall provide a higher priority to projects at 1890 Institutions..
