To amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to repeal the authority to 
       grant temporary protected status, and for other purposes.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the ``Territorial Protection and 
Sovereignty Act''.

SEC. 2. REPEAL OF TEMPORARY PROTECTED STATUS.

    (a) Repeal.--Section 244 of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 
U.S.C. 1254a) is repealed.
    (b) Existing Grants.--
            (1) In general.--Any grant of temporary protected status 
        that is in effect on the date of enactment of this Act shall 
        terminate on the date of enactment of this Act.
            (2) Departure.--An alien whose temporary protected status 
        is terminated under paragraph (1) shall depart the United 
        States not later than 60 days after the date of enactment of 
        this Act, and shall cease to be considered lawfully present in 
        the United States on and after the date that is 60 days after 
        the date of enactment of this Act.
