<section id="H9FE67F76EBA643D984F38AF2E4D32743" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Transport, purchase, and sale of pelts of, and handicrafts, garments, and art produced from Southcentral and Southeast Alaska northern sea otters taken for subsistence purposes</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 102 of the Marine Mammal Protection Act of 1972 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/1372">16 U.S.C. 1372</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following:</text> <quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H4397F57B7D944E4A84F783EE7B276181" style="OLC"> <subsection id="HCB0E4FBF3CC94C53AC72E086C4FEA9BE"><enum>(g)</enum><header>Sea otter pelts and products</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Nothing in this Act prohibits—</text> 
<paragraph id="HB4E7A7B986B8488AAA6588AD5EAA0B9C"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the transport, purchase, sale of, or any offer to purchase or sell, any pelt of an otter from the Southcentral or Southeast Alaska stock of northern sea otters that is taken for subsistence purposes in accordance with section 101(b)(1); or</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HC5B76488B13A4DAFB127978F99DAFFEA"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the transport, purchase, sale, export of, or any offer to purchase, sell or export, any handicraft, garment, or art that is produced from the pelt of the Southcentral or Southeast Alaska stock of northern sea otters that is taken for subsistence purposes in accordance with section 101(b)(1), regardless of whether the handicraft, garment, or art—</text> 
<subparagraph id="HCC0F4F79D7FF414E80CF6FABECDF7114"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">is traditional or contemporary; or</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="HF80BBD0F35CF499CA0F52E321C1D0337"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">is or is not altered significantly.</text></subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section>
