<section id="H05AC0B4B984D41FD91408A50C3153D96" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Keep Immigration Enforcement Out of Schools Act</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>No ICE in Schools Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="HAFE239D9C44749F8A4F0F47CB4827BEE"><enum>2.</enum><header>Prohibition of release of education records or other student information for immigration enforcement purposes</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 444 of the General Education Provisions Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/20/1232g">20 U.S.C. 1232g</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following:</text> 
<quoted-block style="OLC" id="H06F4DEBB504C48258327AD7B90165903" display-inline="no-display-inline"> 
<subsection id="HF58CD17CAE3247A1A0516B7CFF62DE34"><enum>(k)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Notwithstanding any other provision of this section, no funds shall be made available under any applicable program to any educational agency or institution which, for purposes of immigration enforcement, has a policy or practice of releasing, or providing access to—</text> <paragraph id="H46F5C6C912E74F4CBD11DD961DD1E45F"><enum>(1)</enum><text>any education records; or</text></paragraph>
                    <paragraph id="HB2C0498A1D024322AE39F93A565D99C4">
                        <enum>(2)</enum>
 <text>any other information with respect to a student, including personally identifiable information or directory information,</text>
                    </paragraph> <continuation-text continuation-text-level="subsection">unless there is written consent from the student’s parents specifying the records or information to be released, the reasons for such release, and to whom, and with a copy of the records or information to be released to the student’s parents and the student if desired by the parents.</continuation-text></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section>
