Short title

This Act may be cited as the Transit Workforce Development Act.

Use of grants for buses and bus facilities for workforce development training

(a)

In general

Section 5314(c)(4)(A) of title 49, United States Code, is amended by striking sections 5307, 5337, and 5339 and inserting sections 5307 and 5337, and not more than 10 percent of amounts made available to a recipient under section 5339,. (b)

Workforce development training

Section 5339(d) of title 49, United States Code, is amended— (1)by striking 5 percent and inserting 10 percent; (2)by striking zero emissions vehicles (as defined in subsection (c)(1)) or related infrastructure and inserting buses and related equipment and to construct bus-related facilities; (3)by striking under subsection (b) or (c) and inserting under subsections (a), (b), or (c); and (4)by striking under the recipient's plan to address the impact of the transition to zero emission vehicles on the applicant's current workforce under subsection (c)(3)(D).
