<section id="H32F5FFE3F9154AE1A195B8E941D4A9AD" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Graduate medical schools outside of the United States</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 102(a)(2)(A) of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/20/1002">20 U.S.C. 1002(a)(2)(A)</external-xref>) is amended—</text> <paragraph id="H73B85440F83E4307A31E90DAF88777D4" commented="no"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in the matter preceding clause (i), by striking <quote>graduate medical school,</quote> and inserting <quote>graduate medical school other than a graduate medical school described in clause (i)(I)(aa)(BB), a</quote>; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HEB5FB3AFF880448890FBD01E43BD3BC5"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by amending item (aa) of clause (i)(I) to read as follows:</text> <quoted-block style="OLC" id="H021873C7120746DDB0C29D170337547B" display-inline="no-display-inline"> <item id="H4D86363652904DB09F875A80277834E9" indent="up1"><enum>(aa)</enum> <subitem id="H9F1D455D2DF44D95972B6221D3FD7BA0" display-inline="yes-display-inline"><enum>(AA)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">at least 60 percent of those enrolled in, and at least 60 percent of the graduates of, the graduate medical school outside the United States were not persons described in section 484(a)(5) in the year preceding the year for which a student is seeking a loan under part D of title IV; or</text></subitem>
<subitem id="H9D366AD0F7AB42B5A5801A0AF7126EF9" indent="up1"><enum>(BB)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the school has or had a clinical training program that, as of January 31, 2021, was approved by a State with an approval process that required an on-site visit to the institution and its affiliated locations by that State or its authorized representatives, and that continues to operate a clinical training program in at least one State that is approved by that State; and</text></subitem></item><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></section> </legis-body></bill>
