<section id="H4D5ABCFD0CDA4D569310A26FA5419B1E" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header>
 <text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Next Gen Road Safety Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="HAE4A18DF1F14411288B73FAC0A50A412"><enum>2.</enum><header>Grants for equipment to assist in the prevention and de-escalation of high-speed vehicular pursuits</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 1701(b) of title I of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/34/10381">34 U.S.C. 10381(b)</external-xref>) is amended—</text> <paragraph id="H450A13C1816D4DE18F27DE79ACDB1A47"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph (23), by striking <quote>and</quote> at the end;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H3F59D12159054E079027E04C01D89878"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in paragraph (24), by striking the period at the end and inserting <quote>; and</quote>; and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H1565122C57C64CC6BDA915EE664F2FA9"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following:</text>

<paragraph id="H8D3D718A62234A69B18FDD7D0E0FA5CA"><enum>(25)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">to procure equipment, technology, or support systems (including vehicle-disabling systems, police bumper systems, and drones) to assist law enforcement agencies in the prevention and de-escalation of high-speed vehicular pursuits.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></section> </legis-body></bill>
