<section id="HAD6B1F3395244E97A1CBA08FC29CA719" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header>
 <text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Volume II Transparency Act of 2026</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="H3145A5126BC7478CA49BCFF3D6E263E6"><enum>2.</enum><header>Disclosure of volume II of report prepared by Special Counsel Jack Smith</header> 
<subsection id="H08C343A587904B298DF953FF502B4579"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Requirement</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Notwithstanding any other provision of law, not later than 7 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Attorney General shall publish on the internet website of the Department of Justice volume II of the report prepared by Special Counsel Jack Smith.</text></subsection> <subsection id="H5D27BF6A2E06405D9BE9EBFF82CCFF2B"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Redactions</header><text>The Attorney General may redact—</text> 
<paragraph id="H95672B3A9EED4899BAABC3337BE4AAFE"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the name of a witness and any other information that would identify such witness, if such individual did not aid or abet the commission of a criminal offense described in the volume;</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HF2778766C07B4212AFAEF3E20BBC99D0"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the name of a victim and any other information that would identify such victim of a criminal offense described in the volume; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H4B957E36FD9F4B9C97DA27F1CF56CB2E"><enum>(3)</enum><text>national security or other information that would negatively impact national security if such information was publicly disclosed.</text></paragraph></subsection> <subsection id="H98FBEF2393A140A1B3F784D4E3363231"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Public interest</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A redaction made under subsection (b)(3) may be made public if the Attorney General determines that such publication is in the public interest.</text></subsection> </section>
