Short title

This Act may be cited as the Protein for Every Plate Act of 2026.

Amendments

Section 27(a)(2) of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 (7 U.S.C. 2036(a)(2)) is amended— (1)in subparagraph (D) by striking and at the end, (2)in subparagraph (E) and inserting the period at the end and inserting ; and, and (3)by adding at the end the following: (F) for each of the fiscal years 2026 and 2027, the sum obtained by adding the total dollar amount of commodities specified in subparagraph (E) for such fiscal year and $200,000,000 for the purchase of animal protein..
