Short title

This Act may be cited as the Quality Broadband for Connected Communities Act.

Increase in minimum broadband service capacity for projects under the Community Connect Grant Program

Section 604(a)(2) of the Rural Electrification Act of 1936 (7 U.S.C. 950bb–3(a)(2)) is amended— (1) in subparagraph (A), by striking 10-Mbps and inserting 25-Mbps; and (2) in subparagraph (B), by striking 1-Mbps and inserting 3-Mbps.

Effective date

The amendments made by this Act shall take effect 6 months after the date of the enactment of this Act.
