<section id="H1E84B39356204B698EABD9D84555F347" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Fair Credit Reporting Reseller Accuracy Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="H47A37E58D1B941EAA22CEB92CAE05183"><enum>2.</enum><header>Accuracy of information transmitted by resellers</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 607 of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/15/1681e">15 U.S.C. 1681e</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following:</text>

<subsection id="H944E16B04AE14500AABB7C625EF033C2"><enum>(f)</enum><header>Resellers</header> 
<paragraph id="HE9AA7C1E96EF49B7BB3F6D76B71432D1"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Before a reseller transmits information contained in a consumer report to an end user or another reseller, such reseller shall follow reasonable procedures to assure maximum possible accuracy of the information concerning the individual about whom the information relates.</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HC488609A23144DE9988BEB5CB21F060D"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Limitation of liability</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">No reseller may be held liable under this title if such reseller accurately communicates information obtained from another consumer reporting agency to an end user or another reseller.</text> </paragraph>
