<section id="H58AD8272B7704EB199462EC47073CA0A" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Extension of authorities of title VII of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978</header> 
<subsection id="H284B873E77D54FEE9F263182BEF22070"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Extension of repeal date of title VII</header><text>Section 403(b) of the FISA Amendments Act of 2008 (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/110/261">Public Law 110–261</external-xref>) is amended—</text> <paragraph id="H3A0C725BE84B41BCBF3272D00B7313AE"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph (1) (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/50/1881">50 U.S.C. 1881</external-xref> note), by striking <quote>effective two years after</quote> and all that follows through the period at the end and inserting <quote>effective October 20, 2027, title VII of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/50/1881">50 U.S.C. 1881 et seq.</external-xref>) is repealed.</quote>; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H4305A691560546FBB02D91162C3391C0"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in paragraph (2) (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/18/2511">18 U.S.C. 2511</external-xref> note), in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by striking <quote>Effective two years after the date of enactment of <short-title>the Reforming Intelligence and Securing America Act</short-title>—</quote> and inserting <quote>Effective October 20, 2027—</quote>.</text></paragraph></subsection> <subsection id="HDA9C31623BB44E5C99428458FA27B3BE"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Extension of transition procedures</header><text>Section 404(b) of the FISA Amendments Act of 2008 (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/110/261">Public Law 110–261</external-xref>) is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="H2E9544C424C7498597DD6A2E39D7858E"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph (1)—</text> <subparagraph id="H7F89E252D4EA4086B675B3B291E17A56"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in the heading, by striking <quote><header-in-text level="paragraph" style="OLC">two years after the date of enactment of the reforming intelligence and securing america act</header-in-text></quote> and inserting <quote><header-in-text level="paragraph" style="OLC">repeal date</header-in-text></quote>; and</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="HC3162C97694541AB8973EAC6E548F7D0"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by striking <quote>, as amended by section 101(a) and by the FISA Amendments Reauthorization Act of 2017 and the Reforming Intelligence and Securing America Act,</quote> and inserting <quote>(<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/50/1881">50 U.S.C. 1881 et seq.</external-xref>)</quote>; and</text></subparagraph></paragraph> <paragraph id="H18A0DFCEECD84D0197BAEAD85E351CD9"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in paragraph (2), by striking <quote>, as amended by section 101(a) and by the FISA Amendments Reauthorization Act of 2017 and the Reforming Intelligence and Securing America Act,</quote> and inserting <quote>(<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/50/1881">50 U.S.C. 1881 et seq.</external-xref>)</quote>.</text></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="HA6C9033575734AC78D3800C82BBE677A"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The amendments made by this section shall take effect on the earlier of the date of the enactment of this Act or April 19, 2026.</text></subsection></section> </legis-body></bill>
