<section id="H37C7F52DFB5246EA966C106DD1A98A38" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Detection Equipment and Technology Evaluation to Counter the Threat of Nitazenes Act of 2026</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>DETECT Nitazenes Act of 2026</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="HF5FAC8DAC4DC4CF589361CE71C4CC068"><enum>2.</enum><header>Enhancing the capacity to detect and identify drugs such as nitazenes</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 302(15) of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/6/182">6 U.S.C. 182(15)</external-xref>) is amended, in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by striking <quote>fentanyl and xylazine</quote> and inserting <quote>fentanyl, xylazine, and nitazenes</quote>.</text></section>
