<section id="H35F54EAB01A0464298093316658CEFB0" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Protect World Cup Attendees Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="H2A5F6C12E2014E4480C6A645B3F6F0BE"><enum>2.</enum><header>Limitation on use of funds</header> <subsection id="H2074E40A208E49118D46E66587084A67"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Notwithstanding any other provision of law, an entity receiving Federal funds under section 90005(a)(1)(B) or section 90005(a)(1)(C) of an Act to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of H. Con. Res. 14 (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/119/21">Public Law 119–21</external-xref>) may not, except under exigent circumstances—</text> 
<paragraph id="H3BD3E46B93244DA6BFB550E2633F13FD"><enum>(1)</enum><text>participate in any program under section 287(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/8/1357">8 U.S.C. 1357(g)</external-xref>), or</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H637F847389994B1BAA3C9EB1531ED014"><enum>(2)</enum><text>carry out any civil immigration enforcement activity under the immigration laws (as such term is defined in section 101 of the Immigration and Nationality Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/8/1101">8 U.S.C. 1101</external-xref>)),</text></paragraph><continuation-text continuation-text-level="subsection">during the covered time period.</continuation-text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H29AEF4E646654EE3A3FC61B5D8BFEEB5"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Definitions</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In this section:</text> <paragraph id="H765C736B31FE485A9D730A0BEA224567"> <enum>(1)</enum> <header>Covered time period</header> <text>The term <quote>covered time period</quote> means the period of time beginning at 12:01 a.m. on June 11, 2026, and concluding at 11:59 p.m. on July 19, 2026.</text>
        </paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HC2900DAFB5E84F938FB07C49D34B2EAD" display-inline="no-display-inline"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Exigent circumstances defined</header><text>The term <quote>exigent circumstances</quote> means a situation involving any of the following:</text> <subparagraph id="H5EF702CEAAE047D9904EF35F69241114" display-inline="no-display-inline"><enum>(A)</enum><text>The imminent risk of death, violence, or physical harm to a person, including in the case of terrorism (as such term is defined in section 2 of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/6/101">6 U.S.C. 101</external-xref>)).</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="H80F44236B6D6449BAFBCDD90069E0458"><enum>(B)</enum><text>The imminent risk to the national security of the United States.</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="H7939D67DDC96448BB7740DEEC6549B45"><enum>(C)</enum><text>The immediate arrest or hot pursuit of an individual presenting an imminent risk to public safety, including relating to death, violence, or physical harm to a person.</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="H3586E341B8774F59BBAEC74C78EC1230"><enum>(D)</enum><text>The imminent risk of destruction of evidence that is material to an ongoing criminal case.</text></subparagraph></paragraph></subsection></section> </legis-body></bill>
