Short title

This Act may be cited as the Defense Community Infrastructure Program Tribal Eligibility Act of 2026.

Including Tribal governments in the defense community infrastructure program

Section 2391 of title 10, United States Code, is amended— (1)in subsection (d)— (A)in paragraph (1)(A), by inserting Indian tribes, after local governments,; and (B)in paragraph (2)(B), by striking or local government each place such term appears and inserting government, local government, or Indian tribe; and (2)in subsection (e)— (A)in paragraph (4)(A)(ii)(I), by striking or local government and inserting government, local government, or Indian tribe; and (B)by adding at the end the following new paragraph: (7)The term Indian tribe has the meaning given that term in section 4 of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act (25 U.S.C. 5304). .
