Short title

This Act may be cited as the Restoring Washington's Birthday Act of 2026.

Changes to legal public holidays

Section 6103(a) of title 5, United States Code, is amended— (1)by inserting after the item relating to the Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr., the following: Lincoln’s Birthday.; and (2)in the item relating to Washington’s Birthday, by striking the third Monday in February and inserting February 22.
