Mrs. McClain Delaney (for herself, Ms. Norton, Mr. Ivey, Ms. Elfreth,
Mr. Walkinshaw, Mr. Thanedar, and Mr. Boyle of Pennsylvania) introduced
the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on
Transportation and Infrastructure, and in addition to the Committees on
Natural Resources, and Oversight and Government Reform, for a period to
be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for
consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the
committee concerned

A BILL
To prohibit the naming, renaming, designating, or redesignating of any
Federal building, land, or other asset in the name of a sitting
President, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Stop Executive Renaming for Vanity
and Ego (SERVE) Act of 2026''.
SEC. 2. PROHIBITION ON NAMING FEDERAL PROPERTY AFTER SITTING PRESIDENT.
(a) In General.--Notwithstanding any other provision of law--
(1) no Federal building, land, or other asset may be named,
renamed, designated, or redesignated in the name of a sitting
President; and
(2) no Federal funds may be used to name, rename,
designate, or redesignate any Federal building, land, or other
asset in the name of a sitting President.
(b) Applicability.--Any Federal building, land, or other asset
named after the sitting President as of the date of enactment of this
Act shall be returned to the name given to that Federal building, land,
or other asset by Federal law.
