43 Stat. 1946) shall be known and designated as <quote>Chiricahua National Park</quote> (referred to in this Act as the <quote>National Park</quote>).</text></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HC897093AE32F4972882ABC8119CAF9B7"><enum>(2)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Boundaries</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The boundaries of the National Park shall be the boundaries of the Chiricahua National Monument as of the date of enactment of this Act, as generally depicted on the map entitled <quote>Chiricahua National Park Proposed Boundary</quote>, numbered 145/156,356, and dated March 2021.</text></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H498D575D4B52464D8F05A9CC07D2457E"><enum>(3)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">References</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Any reference in a law, map, regulation, document, or other record of the United States to the Chiricahua National Monument shall be considered to be a reference to the <quote>Chiricahua National Park</quote>.</text></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H59F575DE3A2E4A8187E2DB620CA3DA07"><enum>(4)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Availability of funds</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Any funds available for the Chiricahua National Monument shall be available for the National Park.</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H04BB6ECA1B5441FC864DF93627E991AA"><enum>(b)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Administration</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary of the Interior shall administer the National Park in accordance with—</text><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HF1A0D081E5F84B4E9C4636D2522ECF0A"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Presidential Proclamation 1692 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/54/320301">54 U.S.C. 320301</external-xref> note; 43 Stat. 1946);</text></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HA91E7332464C4D968D8D3531DC9789FB"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Presidential Proclamation 2288 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/54/320301">54 U.S.C. 320301</external-xref> note; 52 Stat. 1551); and</text></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H091588B6D5904B089A5B18B8A951E002"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the laws generally applicable to units of the National Park System, including—</text><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H3C871003CD42455A8CB62245FBA1C516"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">section 100101(a), chapter 1003, and sections 100751(a), 100752, 100753, and 102101 of title 54, United States Code; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HB5E64291010547BC88CEE2CDD61E12F8"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline"><external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/54/3201">chapter 3201</external-xref> of title 54, United States Code.</text></subparagraph></paragraph></subsection></section><section id="HE775378A97F344158A52722045D6B9DD"><enum>3.</enum><header>Traditional cultural and religious sites</header><subsection id="H3E7F518C6A054F1D8DB517D6DF2676E3"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Protection of sites</header><paragraph id="HE8004CB834CC48FF8B2349B2559AF326"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text>The Secretary shall ensure the protection of traditional cultural and religious sites in the National Park in accordance with the laws (including regulations) applicable to the Secretary. </text></paragraph><paragraph id="H9B678531ACB941FBA4D18526B8E035E8"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Consultation</header><text>In carrying out paragraph (1), the Secretary shall consult with Indian Tribes in accordance with laws applicable to the protection of cultural and religious sites.</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H967D2E6899FE4C52B365A02812D83D2D"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Access</header><paragraph id="HBB9DB22129C145BEA9799773D1722F27"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text>The Secretary, in accordance with <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/95/341">Public Law 95–341</external-xref> (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/1996">42 U.S.C. 1996 et seq.</external-xref>)—</text><subparagraph id="H91705CF153C74C36AC42285F577EBCCD"><enum>(A)</enum><text>shall provide access to the sites described in subsection (a)(1) by members of Indian Tribes for traditional cultural and customary uses; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H98C7F5C5F95044B18A54B237CE167EA1"><enum>(B)</enum><text>may, on request of an Indian Tribe, temporarily close to general public use one or more specific areas of the National Park to protect traditional cultural and customary uses in the area by members of the Indian Tribe.</text></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H323531D719BE4B0F8B5ED8B9D8F0788C"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Limitation</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In closing a portion of a designated area under paragraph (1)(B), the Secretary shall limit the closure to the smallest practicable area for the minimum period necessary for the traditional cultural and religious activities.</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H021D63606AA549CE921DAC8B11894BA3"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Definitions</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In this section:</text><paragraph id="H29F1D48FCF5D4109A0947B0FF667DE78"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Indian Tribe</header><text>The term <term>Indian Tribe</term> has the meaning given such term in section 4 of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/25/5304">25 U.S.C. 5304</external-xref>).</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HB386830DDE7D424BB253EF54D22B24FE"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Secretary</header><text>The term <term>Secretary</term> means the Secretary of the Interior.</text></paragraph></subsection></section></legis-body><official-title-amendment>Amend the title so as to read: <quote>A bill to redesignate the Chiricahua National Monument in the State of Arizona as Chiricahua National Park, and for other purposes.</quote>.</official-title-amendment><endorsement display="yes"><action-date>March 12, 2026</action-date><action-desc>Reported with amendments, committed to the Committee of the Whole House on the State of the Union, and ordered to be printed</action-desc></endorsement></bill>
