<section id="H45368878A4D34EAB9C9FC8729622F691" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Lejeune Untaxed Compensation and Settlements Act of 2025</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="HB71812F8AD04417EBC2135566AA155E0"><enum>2.</enum><header>Camp Lejeune Justice Act damages excluded from gross income</header> <subsection id="H5A11A02AA18B4AC0A16D03538ED5B2BB"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline"><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/26/104">Section 104(a)</external-xref> of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="H0BD6932B7D40488294121271BDB81571"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph 5, by striking <quote>and</quote> at the end,</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HF683430521214E9E90CC1D3786794991"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by redesignating paragraph (6) as paragraph (7), and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H3696C9D83B814827885975626B7FF89A"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by inserting after paragraph (5) the following new paragraph:</text> <quoted-block style="OLC" id="HFFA497C43958413E91FA46C2F70D8529" display-inline="no-display-inline"> <paragraph id="H7C6BFBC89A0E40B8B6357900F95455A6"><enum>(6)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the amount of any damages received in an action brought pursuant to the Camp Lejeune Justice Act of 2022; and</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="H12CE646A37094201A99C1C09552AD83F"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text>The amendments made by this section shall apply to damages received after the date of enactment of this Act.</text> </subsection></section> </legis-body></bill>
