A BILL

To repeal section 504 of the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 in order to permit certain persons to hold offices in labor organizations.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. Short title.

This Act may be cited as the “Union Participation for All Act”.

SEC. 2. Repeal of prohibition against certain persons holding offices in labor organizations.

(a) In general.—Section 504 of the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 (29 U.S.C. 504) is repealed.

(b) Conforming amendment.—Section 401(e) of the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 (29 U.S.C. 481(e)) is amended by striking “to section 504 and”.
