<section id="H4BA42FF887ED42FB9DDDD0B10AEB38CA" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Semiquincentennial Tourism and Access to Recreation Sites Act</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>STARS Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="HDBA65BA565F54B0686E71EACE43A2EA7"><enum>2.</enum><header>Waived fees at public recreational sites in honor of America’s 250th anniversary</header> <subsection id="H662723E8B91D491396F02F1EF825BC1E"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text>In honor of the semiquincentennial of the United States of America—</text>
<paragraph id="H3312717140724F37AF29E13CA687E643"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the Secretary of the Interior shall—</text> <subparagraph id="H1372555C344C4D62AEDE86C8F7D2AB06"><enum>(A)</enum><text>designate September 17, 2026, as an entrance-fee free date on which admission is free to all visitors with respect to each National Park Service site that charges an entrance fee; and</text></subparagraph>
<subparagraph id="H57617BA135C24899B67D9148ED08913E"><enum>(B)</enum><text>waive standard amenity recreation fees on September 17, 2026, for each visitor to each site managed by the Bureau of Land Management, United States Fish and Wildlife Service, or Bureau of Reclamation that charges a standard amenity recreation fee; and</text></subparagraph></paragraph> <paragraph id="H4FDB097773FF4303BCAD274E386ADF77"><enum>(2)</enum><text>the Secretary of Agriculture shall waive standard amenity recreation fees for September 17, 2026, for each visitor to each site managed by the Forest Service that charges a standard amenity recreation fee.</text></paragraph></subsection>
<subsection id="H7CDF10C3BB3142E89458AB307E0A16A2"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Definitions</header><text>In this section:</text> <paragraph id="HDE9FEB8B336943CA8492ABA29607B41D"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Entrance fee</header><text>The term <term>entrance fee</term> has the meaning given the term in section 802 of the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/6801">16 U.S.C. 6801</external-xref>).</text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="HF44890DE17C340F1A84AE90C233BB86F"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Standard amenity recreation fee</header><text>The term <term>standard amenity recreation fee</term> has the meaning given the term in section 802 of the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/6801">16 U.S.C. 6801</external-xref>).</text></paragraph></subsection></section> </legis-body><attestation><attestation-group><attestation-date date="20251209" chamber="House">Passed the House of Representatives December 9, 2025.</attestation-date><attestor display="no">Kevin F.
